About Thomas B. Haller, M.Div., MSW, ACSW, DST

Thomas B. Haller, M.Div., MSW, ACSW, DST
Thomas currently works in private practice at Shinedling, Shinedling, and Haller, P.C. in Bay City, Michigan, as a child, adolescent and couples therapist; a sex therapist; and a chronic pain counselor. He is a certified EEG biofeedback technician, an AASECT certified diplomate of sex therapy, and a certified sports counselor. Thomas has extensive training in psychotherapy with children and couples from the University of Michigan where he received his Master of Social Work degree. He also is an ordained Lutheran minister with a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary.

Thomas is a widely sought after national and international presenter in the areas of parenting, interpersonal relationships, and chronic pain. He is the co-author of two highly acclaimed books; “Couple Talk: How to Talk Your Way to a Great Relationship” and “The Ten Commitments: Parenting with Purpose”. He is also the founder and director of Healing Minds Institute, a center devoted to teaching others to focus and enhance the health of the mind, body, and spirit.

Thomas conducts workshops and seminars for churches, school districts, parent groups, and counseling agencies. He is also a regular lecturer at universities across the country.
